Torcuato Mariano Lift Me Up
August 22nd, 2006Not sure what’s happening with me on this one, but it seems like the more I listen to it, the 
better Lift Me Up gets. Lift Me Up simply put is one of Torcuato Mariano’s best CDs to date.
This CD will grab your attention right from the very beginning with Lift Me Up and won’t let go until the very last note of the very last song Rio Antigo, which by the way is another great track.
Lift Me Up is a nicely varied, mix of 12 tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly outstanding artist. Most of the songs display a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Clearly drawing from what I can only imagine are his own real life experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions of love, heartbreak, pain, failed relationships and unattainable romance. They’re all here.
Overall Lift Me Up is an outstanding release. Quite possibly Torcuato Mariano’s best to date. Really sensational from beginning to end. If you’re even mildly into Smooth Jazz music you’ll enjoy this CD.
My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore […as in “Stuck On REpeat”] is track 11, Another Day In Luanda. It’s a great track!
