Rippingtons Moonlighting
April 28th, 2007Not sure what’s happening with me on this one, but it seems like the more I listen to it, the
better Moonlighting gets. Moonlighting put simply is one of Rippingtons’s best CDs to date.
This CD grabs your attention right out of the gate with the title track Moonlighting and doesn’t let go until the very last note of the very last song Intimate Strangers, which by the way is another great track.
Moonlighting has a nicely varied, mix of 8 tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly outstanding group of musicians. With many of the songs displaying a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen.
Overall Moonlighting is a solid release. Quite possibly Rippingtons’s best to date. Really spectacular from beginning to end. If you’re even mildly into Smooth Jazz music you’ll enjoy this album.
My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore […as in “Stuck On REpeat”] is track 2, She Likes To Watch. This is a great track!
